About Dovetail Farm
How We Got Our Name
Cambridge dictionary says dovetail (v) means "to cause something to fit exactly together". Our blended family started coming together in 2014. Life threw some big hurdles at us from the very beginning, but we pressed on. The first several years we navigated blending our kids, losing parents and major health crises. In January (as a late Christmas present) we got our very first fainting goats. We quickly fell in love and started growing the herd. After finding the silky goats a few months later, we knew it was another breed we wanted to add. And so it began. The growth of our new farm had brought us together so much, and with the kids getting older, we knew it was something we wanted to dive into head first- and that is how Dovetail Farm was born.
