AQHA, this is the OG of the farm. She's a 90s model and definitely the queen of the pasture. At about 30 now, she's seen a lot of changes around the farm. She loves her treats and you can rest assured that she's gonna back up to so you will scratch her butt. She's so sweet.
Baby is about 20 now and she does her own thing. She's been around the farm since she was about 3 so she's seen a lot, too. Our oldest is really the only one that can mess with her. She turns her nose to the rest of us most of the time, but loves hanging with Evangeline. She does enjoy her treats though.
Charlotte is about 3 now and Greg's baby. You can lay on this girl and love all over her. Be warned though- if you plan to do anything in the pasture she's definitely going to get in your way to get some attention! We love this sweet girl.
Bocephus is the newest one in this pasture. Charlotte had been hanging with the horses for too long and needed a friend. Bocephus has been perfect company for her! He's warming up to us, thanks to Charlotte's help and I think he's going to be a fantastic little herd sire.
Elma is a sweet mini Hereford that we got bred from a friend. It didn't take her long to warm up to us. She's mom to our perfect little Poppy and we're so proud to have her on the farm!
What can I possibly say about this amazing little cow? Poppy was born premature on a cold December morning. Mom's milk had not come in yet. We scooped her up and brought her to the shop for warming. It was touch and go for a couple of days- she even came to work with me the first two days of her life. But I'd say everything worked out perfectly. She's a tiny little tank and fully believes she's a dog- the labs are her BFFs. Though we did not want a bottle baby, I can't imagine life without her now.
